5 Cheapest CS2 Knife Trade-Ups
August 23, 2026
Cheapest CS2 knife and glove trade-ups: five live low-cost non-StatTrak Covert contracts screened for positive expected profit. Cost, expected value, and profit update live on each card from the Trade-Up Database.
Why no StatTrak? A lot of StatTrak knife outcomes barely trade. Thin asks can inflate listed prices and make a craft look +EV when you cannot actually sell at those marks. This post sticks to normal Coverts so gold prices stay closer to liquid markets.
Since the crafting update, five Covert weapon skins trade into gold from those collections. Some collections are knife-only. Others like Dead Hand are gloves-only. Mixed contracts below blend Dead Hand with cheaper Coverts from other glove or knife pools.
For more gold recipes, see CS2 knife and glove trade-ups. For weapon ladders, see Ascent and Kilowatt.
Selection rules for this post
- Non-StatTrak inputs only — avoid illiquid StatTrak knife asks that inflate EV
- Screened at publish for positive live expected profit after a typical 2% sell fee, fully priced outcomes (probability mass ≈ 100%), and float span at least 0.03
- Ranked by lowest total input cost among +EV Covert→gold crafts
- Includes pure Dead Hand gloves and cheaper Dead Hand mixes with other collections
- Distinct from the recipes in our main knife trade-ups post
- Live cards show current cost, EV, and profit — dollar figures in the prose are publish-time snapshots only
Five cheapest picks at a glance
- Dead Hand × Revolution mix — 60% Dead Hand gloves / 40% Revolution gloves, optimal float 0.45 to 0.99
- Dead Hand × Recoil mix — 60% Dead Hand gloves / 40% Recoil gloves, optimal float 0.45 to 0.99
- Dead Hand × Snakebite mix — 60% Dead Hand gloves / 40% Snakebite gloves, optimal float 0.45 to 0.99
- Dead Hand × CS20 mix — 60% Dead Hand gloves / 40% CS20 knives, optimal float 0.25 to 0.55

How Covert to knife and glove trade-ups work
- Add 5 Covert skins (all StatTrak or all normal — this post uses normal only).
- Collection odds: each input contributes 20% toward that collection’s gold pool.
- That pool can be knives only, gloves only, or mixed, depending on the collection.
- Outcome float follows the average float of your five inputs and the outcome float range.
- Buy inside the printed optimal float range on the live card, then set your sell fee before trusting profit.
How to run the contract
- Confirm cost, expected value, and expected profit after your fee on the live card.
- Stay inside the optimal float range. Wider spans leave more room when listings move.
- Sort outcomes by High Price on the card to compare highest-value and worst outcomes quickly.
- Recheck prices right before you commit. Cheap Covert books move fast when a craft gets shared.

FAQ
What are the cheapest CS2 knife trade-ups right now?
The lowest-cost Covert→gold contracts that still show positive expected profit after fees on liquid non-StatTrak outcome prices. The five cards above were the cheapest +EV non-StatTrak picks we found at publish. Markets move — trust the live card, not the dollar snapshots in the prose.
Why skip StatTrak Coverts?
StatTrak knife markets are often thin. A few high asks can push “expected value” well above what you can realistically sell. Non-StatTrak gold tends to have deeper order books, so EV is more trustworthy for budget crafts.
Can cheap Covert trade-ups still be profitable?
Yes when the full outcome pool is priced and expected value stays above input cost after your sell fee. A low sticker price means nothing if the gold outcomes are worse. Always recheck EV on the card or in the Trade-Up Calculator.
How do CS2 knife and glove trade-ups work?
You trade five Covert weapon skins for one gold item from the input collections. Each input is a 20% collection share. Some collections are knife-only. Dead Hand is gloves-only. Float still uses the average of your five inputs.
Where do I see live cost, EV, and profit?
On each live trade-up card above, or by opening the same recipe in the Trade-Up Calculator. This article does not freeze dollar costs or profit percents in the prose because those move with the market.
Where else should I look?
Trade-Up Calculator, Trade-Up Database, CS2 knife and glove trade-ups, Ascent Collection trade-ups, and Kilowatt Collection trade-ups.
Keep checking live prices
Covert input costs and gold outcome prices shift. Re-open each card before you buy, set the fee for where you sell, and stay inside the float band. Build or tweak any of these crafts in the Trade-Up Calculator, or browse more contracts in the Trade-Up Database.
